Hazard Oxidizing agent, dangerous fire risk in contact with organic materials.
Risk R45
Safety
Poison by ingestion, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes. Experimental reproductive effects. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic data. Used in animal feed. Explosive reaction with ammonium hexacyanoferrate(II) at 220°C. Potentially explosive reaction with carbon. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx.
