 Peroxyformic acid (CAS NO.107-32-4) is a powerful irritant and an oxidizer. A dangerous fire hazard when exposed to heat, flame, or reducing materials. Unstable and shock-sensitive. 80% solution is explosive. Extremely dangerous when moved. Violent reaction with carbon, red phosphorus, silicon, formaldehyde, benzaldehyde, aniline, alkenes. Self-reactive. Incompatible with metals, nonmetals, organic materials. When Peroxyformic acid (CAS NO.107-32-4) is heated to decomposition ,it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes.
