Mildly toxic by ingestion, skin contact, and inhalation. A skin and eye irritant. A very dangerous fire hazard when exposed to HEAT or flame. To fight fire, use foam, CO₂, dry chemical, alcohol foam. Moderately explosive by spontaneous chemical reaction. Can react with oxidizing materials. When HEATed to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes. See also ETHERS.
