Safety

A poison by ingestion. Moderately toxic by intraperitoneal and subcutaneous routes. Questionable carcinogen with experimental tumorigenic data. May be contaminated with the carcinogen β-naphthylamine. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NO_x. See also AROMATIC AMINES.
