Safety

Confirmed carcinogen. Poison by intraperitoneal, intravenous, and subcutaneous routes. Experimental reproductive effects. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of BeO and NO_x. See also BERYLLIUM COMPOUNDS and NITRATES.
