Moderately toxic by ingestion. An experimental teratogen. Other experimental reproductive effects. 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, propylene glycol butyl (CAS NO.1928-45-6) is a pesticide. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Cl⁻. See also GLYCOL ETHERS.
