Safety
Moderately toxic by ingestion and intraperitoneal routes. Questionable carcinogen with experimental neoplastigenic data. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition 2,4-Xylidine hydrochloride (21436-96-4) emits very toxic fumes of NOx and HCl.
