Safety Data

Safety

Moderately toxic by ingestion, intraperitoneal and subcutaneous routes. Human systemic effects by ingestion: allergic dermatitis, blood pressure depression, eye irritation, hallucinations or distorted perceptions, liver function impairment, shock, spinal cord effects, thrombocytopenia. Experimental reproductive effects. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NO_x and Na₂O.
