Moderately toxic by subcutaneous route. For fire hazard, see NITRATES. A severe explosion hazard when shocked or exposed to heat (at 237°C). Tetranitroaniline is a powerful and sensitive high explosive, similar to tetryl. It deteriorates in the presence of moisture. Incompatible with reducing materials.
