Safety

Moderately toxic by inhalation. Will react with water or steam to produce toxic and corrosive fumes. When heated to decomposition it emits highly toxic fumes of Br⁻, SO_x, and PO_x. See also BROMIDES and THIOPHOSPHORYL CHLORIDE.
