Safety

A human poison by ingestion. Poison experimentally by ingestion, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, and rectal routes. Human systemic effects by ingestion: interstitial nephritis, metabolic acidosis, dermatitis, agranulocytosis. An experimental teratogen. Other experimental reproductive effects. When Feldene (CAS NO.4551-59-1) is heated to decomposition, it emits toxic fumes of SO_x and NO_x.
