Poison by intraperitoneal, intravenous, and subcutaneous routes. Moderately toxic by ingestion. Human systemic effects: mydriasis. Experimental reproductive effects. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NO_x. See also ATROPINE and NITRATES.
