Poison by ingestion. Moderately toxic by intravenous route. When heated to decomposition Acetarsol, monosodium salt (CAS NO.5892-48-8) emits very toxic fumes of As, Na₂O, and NO_x. See also ARSENIC COMPOUNDS.
