Safety Corrosive to the eye. Violently unstable. Reacts explosively with ethyl-3,4-dihydroxybenzenesulfonate + oleum, HgO, and other active oxides. Solutions may explode violently above 60°C and the pure material explodes above 100°C. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx and/or explodes. See also NITRATES.
