Poison by intravenous route. Moderately toxic by ingestion, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal routes. Experimental reproductive effects. A calcium antagonist. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of PO_x, SO_x, and NO_x. See also ESTERS.
