Hazard Moderate fire risk. Toxic by ingestion and skin absorption.
Safety Poison by ingestion. Moderately toxic by inhalation and skin contact. A skin and severe eye irritant. Flammable liquid when exposed to heat, flame, or powerful oxidizers. To fight fire, use alcohol foam, CO2, dry chemical. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Cl−.
