Safety
Moderately toxic by ingestion. A skin irritant. Human ingestion causes symptoms similar to volatile oil of nutmeg. Human systemic effects: arrhythmias, distorted perceptions, hallucinations, toxic psychosis. When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes.
