Safety

Poison by ingestion, intraperitoneal, and intravenous routes. Moderately toxic by subcutaneous route. Human systemic effects by ingestion: cardiomyopathy. Experimental teratogenic and reproductive effects. An antidepressant. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of NO_x, SO_x and HCl.
