CMI/MI is a kind of effective biocide. Its active components are 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one(CMIT) and 2-methy1-4-isothiazolin-3-one(MIT). It is used to kill and inhibit the growth of microbial organisms, including the algae, fungi and bacteria, slime-forming bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria. It is widely used as biocides & preservatives for cosmetics & household, coatings, paints, resin emulsions, oil water emulsions, starch solution and oil field injection water. Antioxidant 1024 is a metal deactivator and primary (phenolic) antioxidant. It is used in polyethylene wire, cable resins, styrene homo and copolymers.
